HALO PROJECT WORKER ? PART-TIME (3 DAY WEEK)
The HALO Project is a free, confidential service supporting young

years who want help with their substance use, either to stop taking
drugs/alcohol, to reduce substance use, or to learn about the effects
of substance misuse. The HALO Project, funded by the SWRDATF and
managed by IN SYNC Youth & Family Services, works with young people
and their families across Co. Kildare & West Wicklow. The post will be
based in Naas & Athy.
The South Western Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force (SWRDATF) is a
co-ordinating body whose function is to research, develop, and
implement a coordinated, regionally-appropriate response to substance
misuse. The taskforce works with the communities of South and West
Dublin, West Wicklow and Kildare, to significantly reduce the harm
caused to individuals and society by the misuse of drugs.
IN SYNC Youth & Family Services supports young people, children and
families in Co. Kildare & West Wicklow to enable them to live a full
and active life within their communities and society.
To be shortlisted for interview the successful candidate MUST have:
* A minimum of two years previous experience of working with
adolescents and families in a therapeutic context.
* Significant experience of working with adolescents in relation to
their problematic substance use.
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Have a full clean driving license and own transport.
* A recognised qualification in Counselling &
Psychotherapy/Psychology/Family Therapy, with I.A.C.P. / I.A.H.I.P /
P.S.I. or equivalent accreditation would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be employed by IN SYNC Youth & Family
Services on a **Apply on the website** month fixed-term contract,
including a 6 month probationary period.
